Isobel Understands the Importance of Audition Preparation!
Our congratulations go to senior Musicality member Isobel Bass who has successfully auditioned for The Royal Welsh Actors Studio in Cardiff and will begin her studies in September.
Isobel will attend the Welsh conservatoire every Sunday while she continues with her A level studies at Gower College, Swansea. Isobel is studying Dance, Drama, Music and English Literature which all combine nicely with her prestigious studies in Cardiff.
The Royal Welsh Actors Studio offers students the chance to learn specific skills and techniques that will help them stand out from the crowd at auditions and gives them a chance to work with top industry professionals. Isobel had to audition to win her place at the conservatoire, which only takes 13 students per group on their Sunday courses.
As well as Audition Technique, Isobel will cover:
- Improvisation
- Text
- Movement
- Voice
- Alexander Technique
- Acting through Song
- Acting for Camera
Isobel will continue performing with Musicality Academy and with her singing lessons with Musicality’s Musical Director and Vocal Coach, Eleri Thomas, who will also be helping her to prepare for drama school auditions in 2018/19.
Some of you may remember that Isobel recently played the part of ‘Bet’ in our production of ‘Oliver‘ and will be performing as a featured dancer in our forthcoming production of ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’ at The Princess Royal Theatre, Port Talbot in July.
We look forward to following her progress and are very excited for her.
